As human beings, we need a sense of belonging, and that sense of belonging is what connects us to the many relationships we develop. Community is essential to our well being. At JR Art Lab, we believe that by building community we create a culture of inclusion in the fragmented world. In fact, our motto is ‘Digital Art Workshops For The Community‘.
We have launched three regular community events since we opened our door – Film Club, Art Collective and D&D Club. Every year, we also hold two students artwork exhibitions – JR Gallery, where residents from the neighbourhood are able to share the creative joy. During COVID-19 Pandemic, we continue to serve the community online. With a series of FREE live online workshops, we are determined to bring the healing power of art to the community at challenging times. We also launched another free event – eSports with the goal to keep the spirit of sports intact. Staying connected within the community has helped JR Art Lab deepen its root here at Kingston Road Village.
