Podcast is no doubt a new yet powerful platform to tell your story. There were 48 million weekly podcast listeners in 2018, according to Statista data. This audience is expected to grow to 115 million by 2021. Now is the time to start your own podcast.
Filmmaking requires team building and communication. Kids who are shy to express themselves might feel invisible working on a film crew. Our JR Podcaster course is designed for storytellers who would like to work behind the camera, yet maintain creative control over their stories.
Students will be guided through the fundamental aspects of Fiction Storytelling Podcast, including podcast scriptwriting, voice coaching, sound recording, music and sound effects selections as well as audio editing. We encourage our young podcasters to create a particular story, viewpoint, message or experience. Participants are expected to complete and publish their original piece of audio drama by the end of the course. Join us and let your voice be heard!
We will use an open-source and cross-platform audio software – Audacity. It is an user-friendly, multi-track audio editor and recorder for Windows, Mac OS X and other operating systems. Check out https://www.audacityteam.org/ to learn more about the software.
