Photography Walk ~ Sat 18th May 2-4pm

Spring has sprung. Let’s get out and about, see more of our neighbourhood. As a group, we will be walking along Kingston Road down to the Ravine, where we explore Street Photography, Nature Photography and Portrait Photography. This photo walk will end at our local design shop SKAUT, where we will get inspiration for product photography. We will share hints, tips and ideas during the 2 hour walk. It’s fun to see things from other photographers’ perceptive.

We believe that our sense of creativity will be boosted by movement and exposure to changing scenery.

People with all levels of photography experience & ability are welcomed. Make sure you minimize your profile and have access to water.

The workshop is in conjunction with SKAUT Design.

Week 2 ~ Smartphone Photography

In this summer camp we will explore Smartphone Photography. When you don’t have awesome camera equipment or editing power to create a great shot, you have to go back to basics: Composition. We will focus more on the lines, the placement of your subject. As we introduce the topics of lighting and colour, you will enhance the aesthetics of the photos you take. We will also try out a whole suite of lenses specifically designed for smartphone photography, including fish-eye and macro lenses.

Through out the course, we will look at different Manual Camera Apps as well as photo-editing Apps to help you improve the quality of your photos. In order to became a better visual storyteller, students will be encouraged to experiment with a variety of photography ideas, and eventually using their photos to tell their stories.

Please be notified that photography excursions will also be included.  Let’s get out there and capture summer time. You will see the world with a brand new perspective.
