Jul 18 – 22 ~ The Sounds of My Story
This camp is designed for storytellers who would like to work behind the camera, yet maintain creative control over their stories.
There are plenty of resources about the technical aspects of making an audio drama: best microphones and recorders etc. But very few focus on the creative part and the process of putting it together. Students will be guided through the fundamental aspects of audio drama, including scriptwriting, voice coaching, sound recording, as well as audio editing.
And…that’s not all! We are going to collect sounds from our daily activities and environment around us. Campers will then learn to compose a backing track for the intro, with the sounds they gather. More importantly, no music instrument or previous music knowledge required.

In today’s commercial economy, it’s an essential skill to market and sale a product or even yourself. Audiences like it because it’s easy to digest, entertaining and engaging.
In this camp, we will equip the young generation with video-advertising skills. Campers will learn to design an advertising mood-board based on given products, then turn it into a unique promotional video. You can’t miss this workshop if you want to be an entrepreneur, or simply because you enjoy watching commercials.

If you are looking for a creative way to enhance the quality of your photos, this camp is for you!
Photo Illustration is a general term which refers to the idea of taking a photograph and paint on it using digital art software. This art form is often used in advertising, marketing, book cover art, and even journalism. Campers will learn some basic photography techniques. Using the information that a photo provides, we can come up with a fun story that starts with what’s already in the picture. After visualizing and sketching those initial ideas, we will then move on to creating an illustration. Understanding the best way to add illustrations to your photographs will open up a world of possibilities for your artwork.
Campers are strongly recommended to bring an iPad or tablet with photo taking function. Please also make sure that the device is able to download apps for educational purpose. Wifi will be provided in the studio.
