Art of Anime, figures and toons.
This terms workshop series will be learning to make Anime/toon style characters. We will make a variety of reference documents and studies to develop our skills and memorize the proportions and tips for drawing. Students interested in more realistic humans may wish to create art in the style of Norman Rockwell https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norman_Rockwell or J. C. Leyendecker https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/J._C._Leyendecker Students will get exposure to other inspirational figurative artists and develop their knowledge of our artist forefathers and mothers. Ooh this is going to be a fun term. Whatever style your into our figurative artwork is bound to get better and better with our practice and focus.. See you all there.
SUN – JR Digital Artist 13 – 17 yrs (Fall 2021)
This term will be focused on studying the creatures of earth. Animals, plants, sea creatures and birds. We will look into the anatomy of various animals skeletons and muscles and study how they exist. Realism will be our goal this term. Studies of light and materials will help us achieve this. Students will start with studying fundamentals including form and lights before moving on with a new understanding and more developed artists eye. After students are comfortable with their observational skills and software command we will move onto personally motivated projects on the topic.
SAT – ONLINE JR Digital Artist (Fall 2021)
Saturdays JR Art Lab workshops will be dedicated to our Online students. Welcome all of you who have asked for classes from the USA and Further afield in Canada. And welcome back to the few of you who moved out of Toronto but missed our workshops and digital creative community.

SAT – ONLINE JR Video Editor (Fall 2021)
Video Editing skills have never been so practical and popular. Students who enrol in this LIVE online workshop will be learning the Language of Editing, editing techniques, colour correction and more. Participants will be working on DaVinci Resolve 17 to create videos with their own styles.
DaVinci Resolve is a Hollywood-grade video editor. It’s also free to download and cross-platform. Check out https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/davinciresolve/ to learn more about the software.
We will be using free stock images and video footage, so don’t worry if you don’t have a camera or video recording device. This is an online workshop. Enjoy learning from the comfort of your own home.
SAT – ONLINE JR Photographer (Fall 2021)
In this term students will focus on an introduction to digital photography. Students can expect to learn how to make a correct exposure, shoot in challenging lighting situations, make strong compositions. This course will also include some photography hacks. Student will get plenty of hands-on experience and practical photography knowledge.
Online learning doesn’t mean we can’t stay creative when confined to our homes. Students will learn to capture great images in otherwise ordinary subjects. We will polish our eyes for composition, thinking outside the box and taking creative photos, all from the comfort of your home.
NB. This is an online workshop. Enjoy learning from the comfort of your own home. To join our online JR Photographer workshop, students must have a camera with manual settings.
WED – JR Photographer 13 – 17 yrs (Fall 2021)
In this term students will focus on an introduction to digital photography. As Fall approaches, this term will explore Natural Photography. We have stayed at home for too long, let’s go down to the ravine and take some stunning photos of golden maple trees. We will also bring back our iconic Halloween Grow in the Dark photoshoot and Christmas Lights photography.
