MON – JR Digital Artist 8 – 12yrs (Spring 2019)
For this semester of #JrDigtialArtist we will learn all about Environment Art for Film & Games , more specifically #EnvironmentDesign & #DigitalWorldPainting.
Students Will create their own worlds. Choose Sci-Fi, Realism, Cityscapes, Seascapes or Forest Landscapes and develop various internal and external environments that form a set for characters to inhabit.
In the start for the term will focus on establishing art fundamentals while allowing students to build their skills and confidence with the digital painting tools and workflow. Projects will take 1 – 2 weeks each. After the first 9-10 weeks students will be encouraged to embark on their own concept artwork. Students will be guided through the research and concept development phases for their final work.
All final works will be exhibited in our end of semester gallery event for parents and community. (opening in the summer break)
NB: There will be an additional cost for the product printing. A full list of items will be made available for parents with associated printing costs.
MON – JR Filmmaker 13 – 17 yrs (Spring 2019)
In this term students will focus on the fundamental aspects of filmmaking, including script writing, basic camera angles and acting. The course will be equally divided into theory classes as well as production phrase. Students will get plenty of hands-on experience and practical film knowledge, through working both in front of the camera and behind the scenes. Last but not least, students will learn how to work in a film crew.
All final productions will be uploaded to the student’s YouTube Channel as well as JR Art Lab YouTube channel.
WED – JR Filmmaker 13 – 17 yrs (Spring 2019)
In this 15 week term students will focus on the fundamental aspects of filmmaking, including script writing, basic camera angles and acting. The course will be equally divided into theory classes as well as production phrase. Students will get plenty of hands-on experience and practical film knowledge, through working both in front of the camera and behind the scenes. Last but not least, students will learn how to work in a film crew.
All final productions will be uploaded to the student’s YouTube Channel as well as JR Art Lab YouTube channel.

Students can expect to learn how to make a correct exposure, shoot in challenging lighting situations, make strong compositions. This course will also include some photography hacks. Student will get plenty of hands-on experience and practical photography knowledge.
NB: Parents please note that this course will also include outdoor/nature shooting experience.
