MON – JR Photographer 13 – 17 yrs (Winter 2019)
In this term students will focus on an introduction to digital photography. Students can expect to learn how to make a correct exposure, shoot in challenging lighting situations, make strong compositions. Student will get plenty of hands-on experience and practical photography knowledge.
NB: Parents please note that this course will also include outdoor/nature shooting experience.
SUN – JR Filmmaker 8 – 12 yrs (Winter 2019)
In this 9 week term students will focus on the fundamental aspects of filmmaking, including basic camera angles and script adaptation. The course will be equally divided into theory classes as well as production phrase. Students will get plenty of hands-on experience and practical film knowledge. Last but not least, students will learn how to work in a film crew.
All final productions will be uploaded to the student’s YouTube Channel as well as JR Art Lab YouTube channel.

In this 9 week term students will design and author their own children book or graphic novel.
During the first few weeks we will focus on narrative and character development while learning how to use the design tools to create layouts and artworks. These small projects should make students familiar with the interface and online resources. We will learn how to combine pixel and vector graphics as only Affinity Designer knows how!
Options for professional printing and binding will be presented to parents after completion of the projects should you wish to make a timeless memory for your home library. You may even wish to send your book out to publishers and see if you get any bites.
Students work between Affinity Designer and Autodesk Sketchbook.
