MON – JR Filmmaker 13-17yrs
This term we will focus on the fundamental aspects of filmmaking, including basic camera angles and storytelling. A movie with a great message is a great movie. Students will be encouraged to have their own creative input so that the final productions carry their own personal message to the world. The course will be equally divided into theory classes as well as production phrase. Students will get plenty of hands-on experience and practical film knowledge. Last but not least, students will learn how to work in a film crew.
All final productions will be uploaded to the student’s YouTube Channel as well as JR Art Lab YouTube channel.

SUN – 10+ 3D artist
This term we will focus on building box models with a SCI – FI theme. Due to the complex nature of 3D software we will only accept students at least 10 yrs of age.
Students will be guided through the program interface learning simple models. They will learn about texturing and lighting within the 3D as well as rendering and output. Starting out with simple robots we will build up to rendering more complicated robots, spaceships, planets and other space themed 3D environments. Students will render and output a simple animation for their own YouTube animation channel. Parents will be required to authorize children’s use of social media (youtube) to share their work online.

Projects will take 1 – 2 weeks each. After the first 8 – 10 weeks students will be encouraged to embark on their own concept artwork that they can have printed on a Canvas, T-shirt, hoodie or other item. Students will be guided through the research and concept development phases for their final work.
All final works will be exhibited in our end of term gallery event for parents and community.
NB: There will be an additional cost for the product printing. A full list of items will be made available for parents with associated printing costs.

Students will then start to develop their own IP for sale online and build their own T-Shirt Design Store. Parents may be required to assist with store setup registration. Earning some extra pocket money while starting out in the digital design space.
