MON 7 OCT – Desperately Digital, A Day of Digital Improvisation…
MON – Adult Digital Paint & Print (Nov – Dec)
In this 6 week series of Popular Fine Art workshops we will introduce you to Digital Painting. You will become confident to create your own digital artworks. You may wish to paint decor for your home, or print shirts for your family as gifts. You probably already saw plenty of videos of people painting with iPads or on graphics tablets and just weren’t sure how to go about it. Digital art is the future. Having an entire kit of brushes, paints, oils, acrylics, inks and pastels with no mess at your fingertips is magic. Take it anywhere, sketch at lunch on your break, draw in the park or down by the beach without all the fuss.
Our Studio devices are all equipped with Affinity Photo which could translate to any digital painting program once you understand the software https://affinity.serif.com/en-us/photo/. Digital art drawing tablets will also be provided so you can paint with your own hand. You also have the option of bringing your own iPad and working in either Affinity Photo or Procreate our favourite iPad dedicated painting programs. https://procreate.art/
We will ambitiously study and finish one artwork every 2 sessions. Sessions will start at 7:30 pm on Monday nights and run until close. You are most welcome to bring your own beverages or snacks to enjoy while your painting. The three artworks we will study are shown below.
The full workshop includes printing one of your own digital recreations in any of the following items: Tote Bag, T-shirt, Stainless Steel Water Bottle or Printed Canvas (14″x11″) TOTALLY FREE.. Our gift to you for completing the 6 weeks and working so diligently on your studies. The full price for all 6 weeks (12+hrs) is $270.00
The class will only accommodate 5 students and priority will be given to people who attend the full workshop.
Drop-Ins may be possible should the sessions not be full. The drop in rate will be $50.00 per session. Please email us if you would like to be waitlisted for drop in. Remember each painting will be done over 2 weeks.

FRI 11 OCT – PA Day ~ Smartphone Music Video
Student MUST bring a Smartphone(iOS or Android operating system) or iPad with video recording function. Please also make sure that the device is able to download apps for educational purpose. Wifi will be provide in the studio. If you would like to plan ahead, here are the FREE Apps we will be using on the day, VUE Vlog (iOS and Android) and Adobe Premiere Rush (iOS and Android).

THU – Adult Beginners Photography Class (Sept 2019)
Our beginner digital photography course is designed to help you make full use of your digital cameras. You will learn camera settings, shutter speeds, apertures, lighting and composition. Photography tricks will also be covered in this course in order to let you shine on social media. During the course, you’ll complete a series of photo projects that let you utilize your newly developed skills and knowledge.
Your instructor will guide you in this 6 week course, reviewing your photos and helping you improve. One thing for sure, this course will change the way you see the world.
WED – JR Designer 13 – 17 yrs (Fall 2019)
This term in Jr Designer we will work with both vector based artworks and Photo Compositing. A designer needs to have both skills to work with photos of products or from a model photoshoot and then combine them into a flyer, key visual, animated gif or meme. We will learn about some simple animations that we can do in order to create .GIF files, moving pictures or live photos as well as immersive photos for social media.
During the first half of the term we will focus on skill development while learning how to use the photo manipulation tools to create interesting composites and Vector based artworks. These small projects should make students familiar with the interface and online resources for use with compositing. In the later part of the term students will embark on their own project. Tools for online concept development will be used to help students plan and execute a series of polished final works. HS
Options for professional printing will be presented to parents after completion of the projects should you wish to join in our July gallery event.
Students work within Affinity Photo and will require access to Affinity Photo for this course.
