TUE – JR iPad 3D (Spring 2022) Creature Creation
This term will be a fun time to explore the many different creatures that populate our entertainment industry. Students will learn how to sculpt organically with the Nomad tools. This is the other side of the coin to last terms ‘Hard Surface’ modelling in Nomad. Think fantastic creatures but without where to find them. Students will also learn the painting tools available directly in Nomad as well as how to move between Nomad and Procreate for painting UVs. Students must have their own iPad with both Nomad Sculpt and Procreate installed for this workshop series. Please see main page for links and more info.

Drawing and painting is something that we will enjoy for our entire lives. This is the journey of an artist. Each day there are special and memorable things that happen. If we do not record them, many of them disappear into the fog of time. Artists have a unique method to record daily moments we live. Capturing the world around us keeps us in the happiest moment of life. Thats why they call it the present. Students will study objects from life with a lighting setup and also contribute their own special objects to our stage. Students will learn details about light and materials as well as sketching & rendering.. Subject matter will include: Nature, Flowers, Skulls, Stuffies, Jewels, Ornaments and artist contributions.

This term will be based on hard surface modelling. Hard-surface modelling is a modelling technique used to model cars, armour, machines, and generally non-living objects that have smooth, static surfaces. This technique is greatly used in sci-fi and shooter video games because it’s ideal to make weapons, robots, armour, machines, and structures.

Soon the Metaverse will be loaded with NFT content for sale/purchase and this is transformative for digital artists and designers. This term we will investigate the digital arts of the NFT world and produce our own NFT inspired artworks.
Students will learn how to use procreate tools to bridge the gap between design and painting. All students must have their own iPad and the procreate app to join these sessions. Spaces are super limited and both sessions well sellout so please don’t hesitate.

Inspired by the AWESOME NOMAD sculpting iPad app we will offer a new session this term for iPad artists. NOMAD X PROCREATE.. we will work with both apps so you must own your own iPad and have both apps installed for this one.
