LIVE Online Workshop ~ Digital Watercolour (Mar 23-27)
Want to acquire some skill that will help you weather the storm? Ever dreamt of a life that isn’t affected by COVID-19 Pandemic? This is the digital skill you need to get you through more unforeseeable events in the future – Digital Watercolour.
In this class we will look at how we can make digital water-colours using Sketchbook, a free app made by Autodesk. www.sketchbook.com
We will have a look at adding a special brush pack that simulates the way watercolours work. We will also have a look at some of the beautiful work by Hayao Miyazaki and the amazing artists at studio Ghibli. This will be a fun and exploitative adventure into digital painting. We will also have little at home assignments you can do during your own time that we are sure you will enjoy and help expand your visual library.
SUN – JR Digital Artist 13 – 17 yrs (Spring 2020)
We all love to watch animated films, anime or cartoons. In this term of Jr digital artist students will have the opportunity to study their favourite characters like Naruto or Dragonball Z or studio Ghibli films and learn from the worlds and characters made by the artists in production. We will look at some simple anatomy of manga humans and also at digital watercolour backgrounds. If you love films like Totoro, Spirited Away, Frozen, Lion King, or Aladin this will be a fun term to learn about their worlds and arts.

SUN – JR Designer 8 – 12 yrs (Spring 2020)
This term students will be introduced to making designs and graphics for web based deployment. Each student will be introduced to building a website for their own portfolio of designs with a wordpress based engine. Websites can be a great way to get your designs or artwork out there into the world and maybe even make a few dollars with your parents permission. With the skills learned in this class students could be able to set up a simple drop shipping type website or artist portfolio. Students will also design and prepare content for their portfolio or blog including articles and products with their own designs. (product manufacture is possible but will incur extra cost for production.
