TUE – JR Designer 8 – 12 yrs (Spring 2020)

This term students will be introduced to making designs and graphics for web based deployment. Each student will be introduced to building a website for their own portfolio of designs with a wordpress based engine. Websites can be a great way to get your designs or artwork out there into the world and maybe even make a few dollars with your parents permission. With the skills learned in this class students could be able to set up a simple drop shipping type website or artist portfolio. Students will also design and prepare content for their portfolio or blog including articles and products with their own designs. (product manufacture is possible but will incur extra cost for production. 

MON – JR Designer 13 – 17 yrs (Spring 2020)

TUE – 3D Artist 10+ yrs (Spring 2020)

In this term of JR3D students will be able to design, render and print concept cars and vehicles just like model kits. Students will start by designing the base concept for the cars from a fusion of reference materials. It could be a futuristic flying taxi or a replica of an old war plane. After working on some sketches from the top, front and side of the objects we will use these to model out our crafts and components. Students will also be introduced into the ‘Kit Bashing’, using parts of other Creative Commons models to add and remix into their own designs. If you love building models from toy shop kits this is definitely going to be fun for you.

Trash Panda Workshop ~ Sun 16th Feb

Looking for family activities for Family Day long weekend? Trash Panda Workshop is ideal for you. In this two hour workshop we will introduce the participants to digital painting concepts, software and tools. We choose Raccoon as our subject matter because Toronto is the Raccoon capital of the world!

All equipment will be supplied and participants will each have their own laptop and graphics tablet device to create with. After finishing the painting, everyone will have their work printed onto an aluminum bottle of their choice (please see poster). This is Included in the workshop price.

Trash Panda Workshop ~ Sat 15th Feb

Inspired by the Group of Seven style we will compose a landscape artwork while learning digital painting skills. All equipment will be supplied and students will each have their own laptop and graphics tablet device to create with.

After finishing the painting in week 2 of the workshop, students will have their work printed onto a 20 x 16″ canvas or similar priced product with digital printing technology. This is Included in the workshop price.
